About the author: Philip Habacon (PADI MSDT #479226) is a licensed Master Scuba Diver Trainer Instructor and a professional underwater videographer.   

He has extensive experience teaching SCUBA and filming in Maldives, Philippines, Canada and Thailand.

He got his education in Mathematics and Sociology from the University of the Philppines at Los Banos in 1991.

In 2001, he got certified in SCUBA diving in Thailand and in 2003 qualified as a PADI Divemaster. Thereafter, he worked as a full-time Divemaster-DSDL in Pattaya teaching over 300 Discover Scuba Divers.

In May 2005, under the tutelage of Course Director Steve Blumenthal (R.I.P.) of Mermaids 5 star CDC in Thailand, he qualified as a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) with flying colors. Also during this time he started underwater filming.

Now a Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT) with over 2,000 logged dives, he has worked in Thailand, Maldives, Philippines & Canada as Instructor & Videographer.

He is happily married to Lizette Mabini -Habacon and together with their 8-year old son Hans they reside in Thailand.


 WRECK DIVING
The HTMS Khram was sunk by the Royal Thai Navy in February 2003 for the purpose of scuba diving


...while the Hardeep Wreck was bombed by 2 USAF Liberator bombers during World War 2
