About the author: Philip Habacon got his education in Mathematics and Sociology from the University of the Philippines at Los Banos. In 2001, he got certified in SCUBA diving in Thailand and worked as a full-time PADI Divemaster-DSDL in Pattaya in 2003 till 2005 teaching over 300 Discover Scuba Divers. In 2005, under the tutelage of PADI  Course Director Steve Blumenthal (Mermaids 5-star CDC in Thailand), he qualified as a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor with flying colors. Now a Master Scuba Diver Trainer with over 2,000 logged dives, he has done extensive underwater films and certified divers in Thailand, Philippines, Canada & Maldives. He is happily married to Lizette Mabini -Habacon and together with their 8-year old son Hans Edward they reside in Thailand.
