HTMS Khram Wreck (2003)
Sunk deliberately on February 1, 2003 for recreational scuba diving purposes. A great wreck dive to watch big school of big snappers, red groupers, batfish, long toms and passing hawksbill turtles. It has an average depth of 29 meters and a length of 61 meters. The expansive engine room is worth visiting as well as the opening on the bow section but always observe good buoyancy & proper finning techniques to avoid siltation. A great dive for advance open water students. On the surface there are two bouy marker lines- one at the bow (south) and at the stern (north) section. This is a good multilevel dive where divers could hang around the tower section for the safety stop. |
Hardeep Wreck
(1945) The Hardeep wreck was an Indonesian freighter confiscated by the Japanese during World War 2, bombed in May 29,1945 by U.S.A.F. Liberator bombers. It is sitting on its starboard side on a depth of 26 meters with a length of 45 meters. Watch big school of yellow-tailed fusiliers and see the much-revered bannerfish. In the engine room, divers could inspect the 8-meter long shaft which used to run the coal-fired steam engine. This is the dive site which put Pattaya on the scuba diving map. A great experience for wreck diving enthusiasts. To reach the dive site, we make a one-hour drive to Samae San Port (a traditional Thai fishing village) by car followed by a 30-minute boat ride to the Hardeep wreck. This is not just a diving trip but also an excursion to immerse one's self in the Thai culture. |

| Resident batfish always come in pairs (never promiscuous). | Fantastic snorkeling while waiting for the second coral dive. |
